Continuing its tradition of supporting the local community during the festive season, Yorkshire-based kitchen manufacturer Omega has sponsored the Thorne and Moorends Christmas lights switch-on for the second year in a row.
Omega supported the event by sponsoring its Santa’s Grotto, giving local children the opportunity to receive selection boxes and have their faces painted. The event also included fairground rides, entertainment, late-night shopping, and food and craft stalls.
Omega says that the sponsorship was particularly important to the company, as although Christmas is traditionally a time of celebration, “unfortunately not every family can look forward to the same joyful time”.
The company believes that by sponsoring the event, they have helped to create “an opportunity for everyone in the community to come together and celebrate local spirit at the most festive time of year”.
In recognition of the brand’s contribution, the Mayor of Thorne, Susan Durant, visited Omega’s head office to meet with the social committee team and personally thank them for their support and sponsorship.
Several months ago, Omega also announced it will be launching a new custom-cut panel service for its range of painted and non-painted furniture. In other recent news, the kitchen manufacturer also recently made changes to its leadership board, promoting Neil Cooke to be its new manufacturing director.
