Roann worktops clocks up another record year with turnover up 45%

Wakefield-based luxury worktop supplier Roann has reported another record year for sales, with turnover increasing by 45% in 2023.

Turnover for 2023 was £12 million. This was the second year running that sales rose for the worktops specialist, with sales in 2022 up by 100% from £8.3m in 2021.

The company is also says that it is on track for a projected turnover of between £12m and £14m. in 2024.

Roann says that this significant growth is attributable to the fact that it has landed some large-scale projects with some of the UK’s biggest house builders, including Taylor Wimpey and Crest Nicholson.

The company supplied more than 8,000 worktops between January and December 2023 and in May that year secured its biggest order to date. The order for a new Berkeley Group development in London’s Finsbury Park was worth £676,809.

Roann operations director Scott Wharton said: “We’re delighted to report on another fantastic year here at Roann Limited. We’re really proud of the work our dedicated team continues to do every day and of course, we’re thrilled to have maintained and grown our existing client base this year, as well as creating new partnerships. We’re looking forward to seeing what next year brings.”

Roann was established in 1990 and has a production capacity at its factory in Wakefield to manufacture more than 15,000 quartz worktops a year.

The company has also focused on sustainability and has moved away from single-use plastics to full recyclable worktop packaging. This, it says, saves over 3,000kg going to landfill.
