What will the surface brands be showing at kbb Birmingham 2024?

kbb Birmingham is just a couple of days away, so let's take a peek at some of the surface products on display at the show

Ca’ Pietra
Stand: G50

The popular tile brand is launching several new collections at kbb Birmingham, including wood-effect slat tiles, and its new Victorian Style Collection where designs are rooted in the 19th century. This includes a Victorian-style flooring collection, which has lots to offer, the company says. It is pre-scored and ready to grout so is much easier to install, as well as being half the price of traditional Victorian flooring.

Also on display will be Ca’ Pietra’s new hero collection – Minérale, the click-no-stick tile range. According to the brand, it expects the new offering to be a game-changer for the sector. From marble to wood, it claims to have everything covered.

Hanex Solid Surfaces
Stand: R90

Hanex Solid Surfaces, manufactured by South Korean corporation Hyundai, promises a unique and innovative solution in the world of surfacing materials, with its USP being “the exceptional quality, versatility, and aesthetic appeal of our solid surface products”. On the Hanex stand, visitors can expect to see a number of solid surface options, with design features such as a Kaelo, backlighting, wireless surface charging and larger samples of its colour range.

There will be giveaways and installations of Hanex Solid Surface showcasing its versatility – seamless joins, coved upstands and beautiful curves achieved by thermoforming.

Königstone

The Königstone team is looking forward to showcasing new and exciting products at this year’s kbb Birmingham. The 2024 show will see the worktop specialist launching its new KönigCeramic range.

Visitors to the stand will have the chance to see the new surfaces and speak to Königstone experts who will be on hand at the exhibition to answer any questions about the new products. KönigCeramic is a high-quality sintered surface with printed designs that have been designed to replicate natural stone. Available in eight different colours, the slabs are crafted using carefully-sourced natural minerals that are compacted to high density and fired to a temperature of over 1,200 degrees.

WEX Trade
Stand: J95

WEX Trade, UK trade supplier and distributor of worktops, will be showcasing its existing product ranges at this year’s show. These include the De Terra collection, the FENIX NTM and the full Formica worktops collection – including Formica Prima, Axiom by Formica Group, and Aria. In addition, visitors will also be able to find out more about some exciting new product and service developments, which are set to be launched at the show.

The stand will be an interactive space with a dedicated meeting area and a barista on hand so visitors can enjoy a coffee and a chat with the WEX Trade team while they take a look at the worktops on display.

The Worktop Fabricators Federation (WFF)
Stand: S107

The WFF will be celebrating its fourth birthday at the show this year, after originally launching at kbb Birmingham 2020. The WFF is all about professionalising the surface industry and sharing best practice.

The federation says that, some of its most experienced fabricators will be at the show, and that it plans to answer questions about the recent Australian ban on quartz worktops, and will be encouraging visitors to consult its Guide to Engineered and Natural Stone Surfaces. The guide was originally launched at kbb Birmingham 2022, and the WFF says it believes it to be now established as a de-facto reference guide for the entire industry.

XTone
Stand: P94

The Spanish brand, by Porcelanosa, will present INTO, described as a breakthrough in smart kitchens – a hidden induction hob through a dual system that serves as a cooking surface and also powers household appliances.

The new induction system blends design with advanced technology, with XTone saying that the new product is able to achieve power transmission functionality without batteries or external cables, the company says.

XTone believes INTO allows for an expanded workspace, transforming the countertop into a seamless surface without visual obstacles. It also plans to show new marble Calatorao designs at the show.
