City Plumbing to open bigger Basildon store

National plumbing, heating and electrical supplier City Plumbing is preparing to move to a new larger location in Basildon, Essex, next week.

The new branch will be opening on Carnival Close, and City Plumbing will be also feature a renewables centre, underfloor heating store and bathroom showroom.

According to City Plumbing, the renewables centre will be a key component of the new store, and will allow tradespeople to access products and advice about a range of renewable trade products, such as low-temperature heating technologies, solar PV, air source heat pumps and EV chargers.

City Plumbing – which currently has a Basildon store in North Industrial Estate – says that its new location will be a much bigger space than its current site, to accommodate the new business components. As part of the move, City Plumbing has also created six new job roles.

Branch manager at City Plumbing Basildon, Gary Plummer, said: “The official opening is a fantastic opportunity for our current customers, and potential new customers, to see what City Plumbing has to offer. Having a Renewables Centre, Underfloor Heating Store and The Bathroom Showroom as part of the branch, really gives customers that one stop shop for everything they need.

“The Bathroom Showroom is part of City Plumbing’s offering and is a fantastic sales tool for plumbers to assist their end customers in choosing their new bathroom range, backed up with extensive stock of products. The new Renewables Centre also gives tradespeople an opportunity to explore low carbon options for now and the future.”

The new larger branch will be commemorated with an opening ceremony next week, on Febarury 26. Plumber and social media influencer Allen Hart is scheduled to open the branch.

Previously, managing director of The Bathroom Showroom at City Plumbing, Parv Sangera, was named as one of the 100 Women to Watch by the Cranfield School of Management.
