Cyncly CEO announces retirement and names successor

Anand Krishnan has just been announced as the new CEO of Cyncly

KBB software platform Cyncly has announced that its chief executive officer David Tombre is retiring from the company, effective immediately, with Anand Krishnan named as his successor.

Cyncly says that Krishnan has a proven track record leading innovative and customer-focused software companies. He is joining Cyncly fresh from his position as CEO of IBS Software, which enables travel companies to run effectively. In addition, he has also held executive positions at software companies Canonical and Microsoft.

Cyncly says that news of his appointment follows a rigorous selection progress led by its board of directors, which began after Krishnan’s predecessor, David Tombre, decided to retire from the role.

Tombre’s retirement comes after three decades spent at Cyncly and Compusoft. According to the company, his leadership has been instrumental in shaping the company into a strategic digital partner to KBB businesses.

Krishnan said he was excited to build upon David’s progress at the company. He said: “Cyncly is in a unique position to help businesses in the spaces-for-living industry deliver amazing consumer experiences, more efficiently and profitably.

“I look forward to working with team members across the organization to leverage our leading technology and deep understanding of the industry to achieve Cyncly’s potential for our customers, employees and industry partners.”

Reflecting on his career, Tombre added: “I am incredibly proud of the success we have created at Cyncly, built on a foundation of knowing our customers’ businesses, delivering best-in-class solutions, and committing to client success.

“With Cyncly’s global team making great technology for our customers, the leadership team established and our product strategy on track, Cyncly is well prepared for its next phase of growth. After 33 years in the industry, I am grateful to transition out of the CEO role with confidence that the company’s future is bright and our customers are in good hands.”

At the end of last year, Cyncly also opened a new AI Innovation Centre to help accelerate program development and enhance the customer experience. Also, Cyncly’s senior director, Alex Ainge, recently appeared on an episode of The kbbreview Podcast to discuss the emerging technology trends for 2024.
