Barwick Bathroom Distribution has invested in additional infrastructure and a new transport hub to serve the southeast of England.
The distribution company says the new depot based in Dartford, Kent, will strengthen Barwick’s position with customers particularly in the southeast and with “benefits reaching many other areas of the UK as general service improves through added resource.”
With the new depot opening in April, Barwick now operates out of four sites; its headquarters and operations centre in Bradford, plus three transport hubs in Nuneaton, Scotland, and Dartford.
Barwick Bathroom Distribution operations director, Bob Ashley, commented: “Our previous set up for deliveries into the Southeast of England admittedly had some teething issues, but retailers will immediately see the benefits of the new Southeast hub.
“We have already seen greatly improved scheduling and regularity in deliveries, plus consistency with drivers, which gives our customers a more regular face making their deliveries, which we know they love.”
Barwick Bathroom Distribution was acquired by private equity investor, TPA Capital, back in 2022 and today partners with, and distributes, several bathroom brands, primarily into the independent retail and merchant channels.
