Kitchen and bedroom distributor PWS has announced the Silver X Group as its new transport provider.
The new service will feature a dedicated delivery team and an upgraded PWS fleet of predominantly 24 plate vehicles – including 18 tonne and 7.5 tonne sizes. All larger vehicles will also feature tail lifts, which the company says will reduce the need for assisted delivery.
According to PWS, one of the main benefits will be a customer service team that can now provide customers with an ETA for all orders.
Commenting on the partnership, Lee Appleby, group manufacturing and operations director at PWS, said: “After careful consideration and a rigorous tender process, we are delighted to be partnering with the Silver X Group as our new delivery provider and are excited to embark on this journey together.
“The Silver X Group aligns closely with our core values and commitment to provide an excellent service and delivery experience for our customers.”
Gavin Burgess, managing director of The Silver X Group, added: “We are incredibly proud to have been chosen as the logistics partner for such a prominent and respected company. This contract is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, as well as our unwavering commitment to excellence in the logistics industry.
“We look forward to leveraging our expertise and state-of-the-art technology to deliver outstanding results for our client. This partnership not only strengthens our market position but also opens up exciting opportunities for future growth and innovation.”
Last year, PWS invested in the refurbishment of two of its design centres in Newton Aycliffe and Burnham.
