Woodstock Trading Company and Bristan Group, both companies that previously reported being affected by today’s global IT systems outage, are returning to business as usual, according to recent statements.
This morning, KBB supplier Woodstock Trading Company confirmed that it was unable to access its order processing and stock system as a result of the technology disruption. In addition, members of staff at the company also had no access to incoming emails.
Fortunately, Woodstock Trading has now issued an updated statement, saying it is again able to take orders as usual. The company said: “Since the global IT issues affected our order processing and stock systems earlier today, we have been working to find ways to enable us to continue our normal level of service, we are now confident that we can fulfill orders as expected.”
The company also thanked its customers for their patience and understanding, and advised them to contact its customer success team if they required any assistance.
Kitchen and bathroom products manufacturer Bristan Group also reported similar issues this morning as a result of the global IT crisis. In a statement on LinkedIn, the company said: “As you may be aware, we are currently experiencing IT issues as part of the worldwide problem being reported. We are doing everything we can to get this resolved and would ask for your patience if you need to contact us.”
However, in a matter of hours, Bristan released an update saying the issues had now been resolved. The company also thanked its customers for their patience, and added that its phone lines were now open.
The IT outage is being reported as a major global issue for industries worldwide, with analysts describing the incident as “the biggest IT problem since at least 2017”. BBC News is reporting that almost 1,400 flights have been cancelled today, and that banking, healthcare and retail stores have been affected.
