PJH continues major vehicle investment

KBB distributor PJH has invested further in its customer service capabilities, adding more than 30 new vehicles to its 130-strong delivery fleet.

According to the distributor, 14 DAF XF tractor units and 20 7.5-tonne DAF LF box trucks have now joined the company’s arsenal of national transport vehicles.

The new transport vehicles are part of PJH’s multi-million-pound multi-year investment that the company previously discussed in 2023. PJH says it is committed to ensuring it maintains state-of-the-art logistics support as it expands, as well as making sure its delivery capabilities are sustainable.

The new fleet has been acquired through Asset Alliance Group, which also offers PJH comprehensive repair and maintenance services.

In addition to the 34 new vehicles, PJH says its fleet refresh will also include 21 more vehicles that are due to be replaced later this year.

Shaun Berry, PJH’s national transport manager, commented: “Our vehicle fleet has grown by 30% in just over three years, with this ongoing investment ensuring our vehicles are of the highest quality, reliable and provide our drivers with a comfortable working environment.

“With PJH now making over 350,000 deliveries annually, many being made on a next day service, the new vehicles will enhance our customer service even further, through their greater reliability, efficiency and look.”

In related news, on March 1 of this year PJH also entered into a strategic alliance with Korean giant Samsung to supply its home appliance products across its UK distribution network.
