KBB distributor PJH Group has added 75 new sustainable vehicles to its transport fleet.
The new fleet is the result of a major investment to help the company meet its forecasted growth plans while also looking to improve its sustainability credentials.
The vehicles vary in size from vans to articulated trucks, and each uses a low-emission Euro 6 engine. This, the company says, will help reduce its carbon footprint, and also means it will benefit from greater fuel efficiency.
Additionally, according to PJH, expanding its fleet means that it has made further steps towards its next-day-delivery proposition.
PJH’s national transport manager Shaun Berry said: “This is the biggest refresh of PJH vehicles ever carried out in a single year. The new fleet will assist PJH enormously in attaining its sustainability goals as well as lowering its costs, through a reduction in fuel use, and reliability. The fleet’s new eye-catching livery will also increase our profile, as they travel the length and breadth of the county, projecting the fresh, vibrant and successful outlook of the PJH brand.”
“With the number of deliveries we make annually approaching the 340,000 mark, and a next-day delivery offering to 91% of UK post codes, the new vehicles will improve our customer service even further as their greater reliability means more vehicles on the road able to complete deliveries on-time and when customers are expecting them.”
PJH recently reported seven-figure sales during the first year of its partnership with appliance manufacturer Miele. Alongside the introduction of its new transport fleet, the company has also revealed its plans to build a new flagship distribution centre.
