Appliance giant Haier Europe has announced the appointment of Diego Perrone as its new MD for the brand in the UK & Ireland.
Taking over the role from Neil Tunstall, who recently became CEO of Haier Europe, Perrone will be responsible for expanding Haier Europe’s leadership in the UK and Irish markets and driving profitability and business growth. The change is effective October 1 and he will report to Francesco di Valentin, chief business officer, Haier Europe.
Perrone joined the Haier Europe business in 2022 as head of cooling which included product leadership and managing the company’s business in the refrigeration segment. He is said to have extensive international experience in strategy and marketing across multiple businesses, including Industrial goods, Telco & Media, combined with a deep knowledge of the white goods industry.
In a statement announcing his appointment as MD for its UK & Ireland business, Haier Europe confirmed that Perrone will remain in his role as head of cooling until a successor is appointed, in order to “guarantee business continuity and focus on executing Haier Europe’s ambitious business agenda in
the Cooling segment”.

Haier is currently taking part in this year’s IFA fair in Berlin, the world’s largest consumer and electronics show.
