German kitchen brand Poggenpohl Group has named its new chief executive officer, with Lars Eriksen being appointed to take the reins at the company.
Originally from Denmark, Eriksen has more than three decades of experience in the luxury furniture industry. Poggenpohl says he has extensive experience in managing international companies, and has a deep understanding of the luxury market.
Eriksen joins Poggenpohl from Gloster Furniture, where he had twice served as its managing director.
Xiaowei Lin, chairman of the Poggenpohl Management Board, said: “We are delighted to welcome Lars Eriksen to the Poggenpohl Group. His broad expertise will be very beneficial in working with our team in Herford and our international subsidiaries.
“We are convinced that under his leadership, Poggenpohl will continue on its course of innovation and achieve sustainable success.”
Earlier this year, Acquisition International Magazine named Poggenpohl managing director Sharon Wallis as the most influential female managing director in the kitchen design sector.
