Braverman Kitchens, a successful business founded in 2004, has been a member of MHK for a number of years and now believes the buying group has become a real asset to the KBB industry.
“For me, joining MHK is a no-brainer situation,” explains Charles Braverman, managing director of Braverman Kitchens in Hertfordshire.
“First of all, you get a network of professionals to help and guide you when you need them. You get access to the best products and the added security of tried and tested manufacturers that must uphold a certain level of quality.”
That quality control is also extended to kitchen retailers and showrooms who want to become members. Braverman adds: “Only the best showrooms and suppliers are considered to join the MHK network, which ensures there is a level of standard throughout.”
In addition, members have some excellent financial perks. “You also get a rebate on everything that you spend,” says Braverman. “So not only do you get quality suppliers and a great team of experts for help and assistance if you need it, but you also get rewarded for selling the products.”

Just like many other MHK members, Braverman believes that no single benefit of being part of MHK is key to his business, instead stating that all benefits are incredibly important in their own way. Although he does want to remind potential retailers who may be new to the KBB sector about MHK’s ease of access. “You automatically get credit lines with all the suppliers because MHK takes care of that for you.
“That means no credit checks, which for a new company or fledgling business with less than three year’s accounts could be a problem. So, it’s a massive benefit for new members entering the industry to have those credit lines open immediately with numerous manufacturers. It makes the process a lot smoother.”
This is sage advice from someone with extensive experience in the industry. As Braverman intimates, being a business owner in today’s climate, you need as many friends as you can get. “This is a perilous industry and you really need to know what you’re doing in the KBB world. It’s not a straightforward journey to embark on, but certainly if you have MHK as your main go-to platform then you’ve already jumped over the initial hurdles that you have to encounter with any new business.”
With a thriving studio that spans nearly 3000 sq ft, Braverman has built an impressive kitchen retail business, offering display styles ranging from ultra-modern German textured finishes to traditional UK made In-Frame styles.
Braverman’s final thought on the benefits of joining MHK? “As a business model, it’s a very strong vehicle to join and what I believe to be the future of kitchen retail.”
