To celebrate the company’s impressive 50th anniversary in 2025, Sigma 3 Kitchens has invested more than £20m into the manufacturing capabilities of its Masterclass Kitchens brand.
According to Sigma 3, the investment will help triple the company’s manufacturing capacity, giving it a combined production space of 200,000 sq ft. Sigma 3 also says retailers will see the benefits, as the investment will allow the company to further support its network of independent retailers.
First announced in 2021, Sigma 3 believes the investment is a testament to the company’s forward-thinking approach, and represents its commitment to futureproofing its operations for years to come.
Established in 1975 in Barry, South Wales, Sigma 3 has grown from a family-run workshop into a trusted industry leader in the kitchen sector, providing a wide portfolio of collections that cater to both modern and traditional tastes.
Reflecting on Sigma 3’s impressive 50-year milestone, Masterclass says it is still firmly focused on the future of the business. The brand believes Sigma 3’s investment ensures it can continue to deliver the support that retailers have come to expect, which should ensure mutual growth in the years ahead.
Brian Lakin, chairman and founder of Sigma 3 Kitchens, commented: “Celebrating 50 years in business is a proud moment for the entire Sigma 3 family. Our journey has been one of constant evolution, and our success is a testament to the hard work, passion, and dedication of our people.
“As we look to the future, our ongoing investment will lay the foundations for even greater achievements, allowing us to better serve our customers and maintain our position as an industry leader.”
Masterclass has previously spoken with kbbreview about its plans to invest heavily into the business, with managing director Gerald Jones saying that the investment would be crucial to secure the business’ growth and ambitious plans.
