Gaggenau names new director for UK and Ireland

Simon Plumbridge has been appointed to lead the company in the UK and Ireland

Luxury appliance brand Gaggenau has announced that Simon Plumbridge has been appointed as the new director of the company in the UK and Ireland, following the former director’s retirement at the end of last month.

Plumbridge has been with the company for 25 years, and has worked across a number of different areas of the business during his employment. After initially joining in a sales support role, he went on to become an area business manager.

His appointment to the role of director follows his tenure as category manager for the company – a role he held for over 14 years.

Discussing his new role, Plumbridge said he was “extremely proud to have been appointed Director of Gaggenau UK and Ireland”. He continued: “It is a brand I’m incredibly passionate about and have extensive knowledge. I’m looking forward to taking the brand forward with our ambitious growth plans.”

Gunjan Srivastava, CEO of BSH UK & Ireland – Gaggenau’s parent company – also commented: “I would like to congratulate and welcome Simon to the role. Simon’s knowledge of the Gaggenau brand portfolio and customers, places him in a very strong position to build on the successes we have had in recent years.”

Plumbridge’s predecessor in the role, Simon Richmond, announced his intention to retire last month. Richmond joined the company in 2020, and was credited with driving the company’s growth and helping to develop its product portfolio in recent years.
