Simon Richmond, director at luxury appliance brand Gaggenau UK, has announced he will be stepping down before the end of this month to begin his retirement.
Richmond joined Gaggenau back in 2020, and the business says he has played a pivotal role in its success in recent years. During his time in the role, Gaggenau says he has helped drive the company’s development and growth, and helped develop its product portfolio.
Prior to his role at Gaggenau, he also served as managing director of Poggenpohl UK from 2012 to 2022. After he vacated his position at the German kitchen company, he was succeeded by current Poggenpohl MD Sharon Wallis.
He also served as Poggenpohl’s director of operations from 2007, when he joined the company after spending the previous 14 years with Jewson.
Announcing his retirement, Richmond commented: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Gaggenau and am proud of the successes we have achieved as a team. I am sure the brand will continue to go from strength to strength in the coming years and I wish them every success.”
Additionally, Gunjan Srivastava, CEO, BSH UK & Ireland – Gaggenau’s parent company – said: “I would like to thank Simon for his hard work and dedication to the Gaggenau brand during his time with us. He has been instrumental in the recent growth we have enjoyed and has created a fantastic platform for us to build on. We wish him well in his retirement.”
According to Gaggenau, it will announce Richmond’s successor in due course.
In other recent news, Gaggenau recently revealed plans to move its London showroom to a new West London location, in a move that will effectively double its current store footprint.
