Rubberduck spreads its wings with warehouse expansion

The warehouse addition adds another 6,000 sq ft of storage space for the retailer

Retailer Rubberduck Bathrooms has significantly increased its warehousing facilities, allowing it to better support customers and setting the stage for future growth.

The retailer, which is based in the North East, snapped up a 6,000 sq ft warehouse building adjoining its existing storage space, meaning its total storage capacity has now increased to 18,000 sq ft.

According to the business, the new space will allow it to stock an even wider range of bathroom products and collections. As a result, Rubberduck says it plans to add comprehensive tiling ranges to its in-store and online offering, which will cater to a variety of styles.

Additionally, the company says the expanded warehouse will help it better serve the local trade community, and provide faster access for products to plumbers and installers when they need them.

Discussing the expansion, a company spokesperson said: “At Rubberduck Bathrooms, we’re always looking for opportunities to progress and grow the business. When the chance arose to acquire the warehouse right next door, it was too good an opportunity to pass up.

“Speed and reliability are crucial in this industry, especially for local tradespeople. This new facility allows us to meet their needs more effectively and build stronger relationships within the community.”

The warehouse renovation follows the recent expansion of Rubberduck Bathrooms’ Middlesbrough showroom, which was completed last year. The change saw the showroom expand by more than 3,000 sq ft, allowing the space to house an additional 15 new room set displays.
