Schmidt unveils new sustainable wood collection

French kitchen manufacturer Schmidt has recently announced a new wood collection, which harkens back to its roots in the heart of the Alsace forests.

Said to balance contemporary design with authenticity, new ranges Baia (pictured) and Dolce Bosca use contrasting light and dark tones to reflect the natural life of trees.

Schmidt says panels in the new collection are constructed from oak-veneered particleboard, while the fronts are made from wood sourced from sustainably managed forests.
