UK radiator and bathroom supplier Brand K Group has acquired Falkirk-based manufacturer Carron Bathrooms, marking the group’s ninth UK acquisition.
Brand K acquired the Carron business from long-term shareholders, John Hewitt and David McMorrine. According to the company, the senior management team including managing director James McMorrine, operations and finance director Jane Miller and technical director Gavin White, will reportedly remain in place to continue to lead and grow the business. In addition, the business will benefit from David McMorrine’s on-going support as a board consultant.
Carron has a history dating back to 1759. As part of its Made-in-Britain offering, it controls every part of its production process, and all of its bath products are hand finished on site.
Kartell UK, the distribution division of the Brand K Group, says it will partner with Carron moving forwards as its key distribution partner, offering it the support of its UK-wide next day delivery fleet.
Brand K Group, which is based in Bedford was established in 2008 by Alex Norford. It now employs more than 750 people and turns over in excess of £170m annually.
Kartell UK was the first company acquired by the group and remains its largest, distributing radiators and bathroom fixtures and fittings under the K-RAD and K-VIT brands.

Since 2019 the group has also acquired a series of UK-based manufacturers, including Aqualux, Just Trays, Vogue UK, Summerbridge, MX Group and Paladin Radiators.
