Shifnal-based kitchen, bathroom and bedroom retailer Harrison James has reported a 67% increase in turnover over the past year.
The independent retailer, owned by 25-year-old entrepreneur Olivia Weaver and one of kbbreview’s 2025 ‘Adopted Retailer’ businesses, has also grown profits and strengthened its net assets, following the opening of its new showroom in Shifnal, Shropshire.
MD Olivia Weaver told kbbreview: “We’ve had to make substantial personal sacrifices to get the business off the ground. While the figures look great, what can’t be seen is the immense effort by everyone involved to achieve this.”
The showroom, which opened on Shifnal’s Carnival Day 2025, features a range of high-end displays and product brands, and the business also provides an installation service. The company says it’s the only independent retailer in Shropshire registered under the BiKBBI accreditation scheme.
Weaver also commented that the company’s progress was as much about resilience as it was about numbers: “Our sector has seen contraction not growth recently, but we have managed to ride the storm.
“We believe this is due to our outstanding personal service. Our reviews speak for themselves as do these figures.”
