Laminam UK MD steps down

Gavin Shaw, the managing director of porcelain surface brand Laminam UK, has now stepped down, after two years with the company.

Announcing the news on LinkedIn, Shaw said: “It’s been an honour to lead such a talented team and work alongside a truly innovative brand. Together, we’ve achieved so much from growing the business in a challenging market, establishing the Laminam brand as a market leader whilst helping to change the narrative in the UK around porcelain surfaces. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished!

“To everyone at Laminam UK thank you for your hard work and your passion. It’s been an unforgettable chapter, and I’ll always look back on it with pride and gratitude. A special mention for Laura Curren, Leanne O’Connor, Sam Penny, Raquel Dominguez, Hazel Blake, Jo Sellers and Keith Storey. It wouldn’t have been possible without you all!”

Shaw concluded that he is now looking forward to a well earned break, which will include spending time with family, long walks with his dog, and plenty of cycling.

In other news, Laminam recently said it had managed to significantly decrease its CO2 emissions, and has also converted its entire Italian facilities to run on renewable electricity, according to the company’s latest sustainability report. The surface company has reportedly reduced its emissions by 9% per square metre of product, and has also managed to achieve 100% raw material recovery during production.
