Tile Mountain Group has just seen a “record breaking year”, with sales up by almost 30% in its latest annual financial report.
In its 2024 accounts, the company closed the year with £69.4m in gross profits, up by more than 27% over the previous year’s figure of £54.5m.
Similarly, Tile Mountain Group’s operating profit increased by over 10% in 2024, rising from £9.2m in 2023 to £10.1m last year.
Company turnover had also increased by around 27%, up from £101.8m the previous year, to £130.1m in 2024.
According to the company, although the entire Tile Mountain Group saw growth in 2024, it credited retailer Bathroom Mountain with “emerging as the standout performer” across its business portfolio.
Looking ahead to the rest of 2025, the company is forecasting revenues of between £150m and £160m this year, a prediction it says which is underpinned by the continued investment in its showroom network, product development and customer service.
“2024 was another year of strong growth for Tile Mountain Group, and we’re especially pleased with the momentum at Bathroom Mountain,” said managing director Jeremy Harris.
“Our strategy is focused on offering customers value and choice across tiles, bathrooms and wall finishes, while investing in showrooms that go beyond retail. We want visiting a Tile Mountain Group showroom to feel like a destination, with thousands of ranges on display, refreshments, a dedicated kids’ zone, and free parking; enabling customers can take their time, be inspired, and enjoy the process of planning their projects.
“With strong foundations in place, our ambition for the years ahead is simple: to continue expanding, innovating and investing so we remain the first choice for customers tackling projects of every size.”
Tile Mountain Group currently operates from 14 locations, but says it has an ambitious showroom opening programme, having also identified 50 potential additional retail locations. Its showroom retail estate is also complemented by an online retail platform.
In other news, Tile Mountain recently announced it had acquired the Johnson Tiles production site which closed last year, after the manufacturer announced it would be outsourcing production of its products. The 30-acre former Johnson Tiles site in Tunstall currently sits alongside Tile Mountain’s existing 400,000 sq ft warehouse complex, and includes production facilities, offices and warehouses.
