British manufacturer Crown Imperial has confirmed that it is “business as usual” for the company, and that it will still be able to supply products following the closure of its sister distribution business, Waterline Limited.
According to the company, it has now introduced new procedures allowing for the direct order and supply of its furniture to retailers directly from its Herne Bay head office. Prior to its recent closure, Waterline was the exclusive distributor of Crown Imperial products.
Crown Imperial says it has directly contacted its retailer network to inform them about the distribution transition. The company also added that its factory team are working closely with customers to successfully implement the updated procedures.
Barry Head, managing director of Crown Imperial, said the company was deeply saddened by the recent news of Waterline’s administration. He continued: “Crown Imperial would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to Waterline for their unwavering dedication to us, our customers and the KBB industry.”
“The entire Crown Imperial team would like to thank all our loyal retailers for their understanding; we are also incredibly grateful for the positive feedback and support received. Our customers remain at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to delivering the highest levels of service.”
Waterline Limited – which is the sister company of Crown – officially entered administration yesterday, weeks after its MD Michael Marriott said the distributor was trying to find an investor to secure the company’s future.
