BLANCO LAVIN taps, VION sinks and new surface finishes
BLANCO’s latest launches include the LAVIN tap family, VION sinks in stainless steel and Velgranit, and new gold and platinum Durinox finishes.
At BLANCO, the latest product launches offer different ways to approach the kitchen sink area. From the shape and functionality of the tap to the material, colour and installation of the sink, each brings its own considerations for retailers.
The new additions include the LAVIN tap family, the VION sink collection in two materials, and further colour options for both Velgranit and the Durinox stainless steel surface.
The developments offer more choice at specification stage for designers, whether the priority is a particular installation method, a distinctive surface finish or a coordinated combination of products.
LAVIN Tap
A tap needs to do more than look good on a worktop. It has to be comfortable to use, provide the right clearance for everyday tasks and stand up to constant handling.
BLANCO’s new LAVIN mixer tap family has been developed with those requirements in mind, combining a distinctive profile with practical features.
Available in C-shaped and L-shaped designs, LAVIN has a faceted body that catches the light across its surface.
Both versions use a slender pin lever with two-dimensional control: moving it from side to side adjusts the temperature, while moving it up and down controls the flow. A red and blue indicator helps identify the temperature setting.
Global head of design Marcel Moritz explained the balance behind the compact form. “We tried to fit the design into a really tight package, while making sure we never lost functionality.”
The taps are made from solid stainless steel and come in five finishes: brushed stainless steel, matt black, satin gold, satin dark steel and satin platinum.
The three metallic options use physical vapour deposition (PVD) technology, while the brushed steel and matt black versions provide different surface treatments.
Functionality extends to the spray head, which switches between a quiet, splash-free laminar stream and a shower spray for tasks such as rinsing and cleaning. Both models feature a pull-out spout, extending the working area across the sink. BLANCO’s BLANCOLock system is designed to make installation quicker and more secure.
The choice of spout shape and finish gives designers flexibility when specifying the tap, whether the aim is to coordinate it with a sink or create contrast against a different material.

VION sink
The new VION sink family brings together two material options, Velgranit and stainless steel, with installation choices to suit different kitchen designs.
The Velgranit version is particularly flexible at specification stage. A single model can be installed inset, flush-mounted or undermounted, allowing the same sink to work with different worktop materials and installation preferences.
That can simplify the selection process for designers, without limiting the finished look.
The stainless steel version is available in undermounted variants, with 400mm, 500mm and 700mm bowl sizes. This provides options for different layouts, from more compact kitchens to projects where a larger bowl is required.
VION’s restrained styling is complemented by a narrow rim and a sloping edge, with accessories designed to fit the sink’s form.
The collection can also be paired with colour-coordinated drainage components and accessories, helping carry the chosen finish through the sink area.
Velgranit material

Velgranit is BLANCO’s new patented sink material, developed to combine a smooth, matt surface with practical resistance for everyday kitchen use. Made in Germany, it is heat-resistant up to 300°C and features BLANCO Protection Shield, which helps protect against limescale deposits, fingerprints, fading and household acids.
The material also gives the VION sink its precise detailing. Oliver Kuch, product designer at BLANCO, described the possibilities it offers. “With Velgranit, we can achieve very tight radii and precise surfaces. Even with small radii at the top and bottom, the sink remains easy to clean. The rim is just 10 millimetres, compared with the 30 millimetres many competitors use.”
That slim edge gives the sink a defined profile without making the design overly prominent. It also demonstrates how the material’s characteristics influence the finished product, rather than simply its colour or surface appearance.
Velgranit is available in four shades: Sahara Sand, Olive Grey, Cloud White and Mystic Black. The palette ranges from a warm beige and a nature-inspired green-grey to softer white and deep black.
These options allow the sink to sit within a more tonal scheme or provide contrast with the cabinetry and worktop.
The colours can be combined with LAVIN’s metallic finishes, matt black or brushed stainless steel, giving designers scope to coordinate the tap, sink and drainage details.
Durinox surface
BLANCO has also introduced gold and platinum versions of its Durinox surface, adding two new colour options to the existing range.
The finishes are available on selected CLARON sink models, offering an alternative to conventional stainless steel while retaining the material’s performance characteristics.
Durinox is known for its matt, homogeneous surface and high resistance to scratching. BLANCO states that the material is more than twice as hard as conventional stainless steel surfaces, with corrosion resistance also part of its performance profile.
The new finishes broaden its design potential. Durinox Gold brings a warmer metallic tone, while Durinox Platinum offers a softer greige shade inspired by patinated silver.
Both provide another route to coordinating the sink with taps, water systems and accessories in complementary finishes.
For designers, the launches offer several distinct ways to approach the kitchen sink area: LAVIN adds shape and functional detailing at the tap, VION combines material and installation flexibility, Velgranit introduces new colour and surface options, and Durinox extends the possibilities for stainless steel.
Together, they provide more choice when specifying a kitchen’s working area, with materials, finishes and practical features considered alongside the overall design.
Orders are now underway for showroom displays, with stock availability for consumer orders in January 2027.
