BC Designs revives BC Sanitan brand

The first wave of new BC Sanitan products is launching this month

Bathroom company BC Designs has announced it is relaunching the BC Sanitan brand back to the market, with its first collection of fireclay sinks available from this month.

BC Designs says this month’s product launch is considered to be the “first chapter in the rebirth of this much-loved heritage brand”. BC Sanitan originally closed after its owner at the time, manufacturer Silverdale Bathrooms, fell into administration back in 2013. However, BC Designs acquired the brand at a later date.

The newly relaunched BC Sanitan products are all crafted in a factory belonging to BC Designs’ parent company, Roxor Group. According to the manufacturer, every sink in the collection features a thinker rim profile, which it says is “perfectly suited to both classic and country-inspired interiors”. The full range currently comprises two single-bowl models and a double-bowl option, and has a 10-year guarantee.

Due to its in-house manufacturing process, BC Designs also says it retains complete control of the supply chain, which will allow it to deliver retailers with dependable lead times and ongoing availability.

Aside from the launch of its fireclay sinks, BC Designs says it will expand the BC Sanitan product range with additional fireclay designs and bathroom ceramics throughout 2026.

“BC Sanitan has long been a name synonymous with traditional British bathroom design and craftsmanship,” explains Adam Smith, BC Designs’ national sales manager. “For us, this relaunch is not just about revisiting the past, but about building on that reputation with the quality and reliability that today’s market demands.

“We now have full control over every stage of production, which gives us a rare ability to maintain consistency, manage stock confidently, and respond quickly to customer needs.

“Fine fireclay remains one of the most resilient and authentic materials you can specify, and our factory gives us the freedom to refine every detail by hand. The thicker edges of the new sinks create a more substantial, architectural look that feels both robust and timeless. It is a product range that speaks directly to the trade, beautifully made, practical to specify, and built to last.”

Smith added: “This is just the beginning for BC Sanitan. We have a clear vision for its future, and this launch signals our commitment to bringing design-led, durable ceramics back to the forefront of British homes.”
