VADO‘s collaborative approach with sister company Merlyn will be a standout feature of kbb Birmingham.

The partnership brings together two established brands with a shared aim: to simplify bathroom design and specification by ensuring products work intuitively, aesthetically and technically – straight out of the box.

Angela Neve, product and marketing director at VADO, says the move reflects a broader ambition to provide a complete bathroom solution. “VADO already covers brassware, furniture and sanitaryware, while Merlyn completes the picture with enclosures. Together, the two brands now offer retailers the confidence of a coordinated package, reducing the need to juggle multiple suppliers or worry about compatibility issues.”

A key part of this collaboration has been the alignment of finishes. Neve explains: “Many VADO and Merlyn finishes are now matched like-for-like, while others have been developed to be deliberately complementary, taking into account scale and application,” she says.

Helene Roberts, managing director UK and Ireland of VADO’s parent company Norcros, adds: “At Norcros, we are committed to empowering our brands to collaborate in ways that meaningfully benefit our customers, and the way they use our products.

“The partnership between VADO and Merlyn is a strong example of that vision in action, bringing together two market‑leading teams to create a seamless, design‑led complete bathroom solution.”

Larger surfaces and products, such as shower enclosures, require a different approach to design, yet the tone and shade should remain consistent. The result is a bathroom that looks considered and cohesive, without designers having to worry about second-guessing the final outcome. This thinking feeds directly into Safari, VADO’s second full bathroom collection, launched in 2025.

Following the success of Cameo, Safari is inspired by nature and designed holistically, with every element created to work together. Sustainability was VADO’s number one priority when curating the Safari collection.

Brassware features water regulation and cold-start technology as standard, helping reduce unnecessary water and energy use while maintaining performance. Furniture across the VADO ranges are FSC rated, reinforcing the brand’s sustainability credentials, as well as fully recycled packaging.

Looking ahead, Groove will add another dimension to VADO’s offer. Launching this year, the all-wood furniture range taps into the popularity of natural finishes, with Classic Walnut and Classic Oak colours, linear detailing and minimalist mineral basins designed to pair with all VADO brassware.

The partnership story will be brought to life at kbb Birmingham, where VADO will also unveil a new Booth & Co Brushed Brass finish on the stand.

For designers, the VADO X Merlyn collaboration represents a practical, design-led step towards simplified specification and a more confident, fully coordinated bathroom offer.
