With the sun now set on kbb Birmingham’s milestone 40th anniversary event, its organisational team have celebrated the show’s “outstanding success”this year, and thanked the wider KBB industry for its support over the last four decades.
This year’s kbb Birmingham saw almost 16,000 visitors and more than 320 exhibitors, according to organisers. From March 1 to 4, retailers, designers, developers and installers came to the NEC in their droves to see the latest product launches and take advantage of networking opportunities.
At the end of the exhibition’s first day, organisers revealed the kbb Birmingham 2026 Stand Award Winners, with the winners decided upon by a panel of judges. This year, the best kitchen stand under 30 sq ft was Daniel George Kitchens, and the over 30 sq ft winner was Rotpunkt.
Meanwhile, Bonavit was named as the best under 30 sq ft bathroom stand winner, with the over 30 sq ft bathroom accolade going to Ca’Pietra. This year’s winners received their certificates to display at their stands throughout the event.
“What an incredible celebration of our industry this special, 40thedition has been. A huge thank you to all our colleagues in the KBB community, whose support made this year’s event such an outstanding success, reflected Jon Johnston, kbb Birmingham’s Sales Director.
“We were delighted to have welcomed such a strong mix of returning exhibitors, new brands making their debuts, together with a diverse international representation from over 20 countries, all showcasing the very best in KBB design and innovation.”
Also on the first day of the show, kbb Birmingham event director, Sam Fisher, presented the inaugural Andy Bishop Award posthumously to Andy Bishop himself, who passed away last year. While dedicating the award, Fisher also celebrated the impact of Bishop’s wide-ranging contributions on the KBB sector as a whole.
Discussing the event’s milestone year, Fisher commented: “I’m so proud to be celebrating four decades of kbb Birmingham as the industry’s meeting place for KBB professionals. It is truly inspiring to see our entire community come together at the show, connecting, collaborating, and forging new relationships that drive progress across the sector.
“The stands reflected the creativity and dedication of our exhibitors and partners, contributing to an atmosphere full of energy across all four days, where face-to-face networking, meaningful conversations, and lasting partnerships flourished. kbb Birmingham continues to shape the industry. We look forward to building on this proud legacy and welcoming everyone back for the 2028 edition!”
In related news, it has also been announced that kbb Birmingham will return for its 42nd year on March 5 to 8, 2028.
