Furniture fittings company Blum is launching its new 2026 programme of CPD sessions with the first event, Ergonomics and Aging in the Built Environment, taking place on Wednesday April 22.
Hosted at the Egger London Showroom in Clerkenwell, the new series begins with Blum’s RIBA-approved CPD.
Exploring the role of ergonomics and designing for an aging population, ‘Ergonomics and Aging in the Built Environment’ is ideal for architects, interior specialists and kitchen designers interested in creating spaces that adapt to changing physical and sensory needs.
Two sessions will be held on the day, lunchtime and evening, both at the heart of London’s design district. Samantha Thompson, architecture and design marketing manager at Blum said: “With one in five people in England now aged 65 or over, and nearly two in five aged 50 or above, it’s more important than ever to design homes that evolve with people’s needs.
“Our senses and lifestyles change over time and thoughtful design ensures people can continue living well and independently for longer. These CPDs offer a valuable opportunity to explore how small design adaptations can make a significant difference.
