Italian large-format porcelain brand Florim has entered into a distribution partnership with Rotherham-based International Stones (UK) Ltd, who will now supply the company’s products to fabricators across the North.
Florim says the new partnership will help solidify the importance of the UK market within the wider business, and says that this is just the first in a series of strategic moves planned for this year.
“International Stones (UK) Ltd is exactly the kind of partner we were looking for in the north of England”, commented Gavin Shaw, Florim UK & Ireland managing director.
“They have the facility, the expertise, and the ambition to match ours. The north of England is a hugely important market and having a partner of this calibre means worktop fabricators across the region will now have a delivery service to match the quality of the Florim stone brand. This is just the beginning”.
Florim sales director, Saverio Lauria also added: “The UK is a priority market for Florim. I was delighted to be in Rotherham in person to meet the team at International Stones and finalise this partnership. Their new facility is outstanding and reflects the same commitment to quality that defines the Florim stone brand. We are confident this partnership will bring it to a whole new audience in the north of England.”
Mat Bacon, owner and managing director of International Stones (UK) Ltd, commented: “Partnering with Florim is a natural fit for us. This is an iconic Italian brand with real heritage, serious manufacturing strength and a genuine commitment to design leadership.
“As a B Corp certified company, we are proud to align ourselves with a brand that shares our values and our ambition. Our new facility gives us the platform to introduce Florim stone to worktop fabricators right across the north, and we cannot wait to get started”.
In related news, Gavin Shaw was named as Florim’s new UK managing director earlier this year. Before his appointment, Shaw most recently worked as the UK managing director of Laminam, and before this, was the sales and operations director of Elite Granite Limited and also founded Shaw Stone Surfaces Ltd.
