Appliance giant BSH UK has appointed Amazon director Charlotte Green to be its new CEO for the UK and Ireland, stepping into the role in September.
She will succeed Gunjan Srivastava, BSH’s former UK CEO, who left the company in January.
Green has spent more than 15 years of her career at global online retailer Amazon, where she is currently director of UK consumables, as well as EU personal care appliances, baby products and B2B consumables. Prior to that role, she was also category manager for kitchen and home appliances between the years of 2019 and 2022.
BSH says that Green brings extensive expertise in commercial leadership, business transformation and scaling complex organisations, alongside a proven track record of delivering sustainable growth and building high- performing teams.
“I have long admired BSH and its brands, both as a consumer and from within the industry, so it is a privilege to be joining the company at such an exciting time,” Green commented.
“I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on the strong foundations already in place, strengthen our position across the UK and Ireland, and continue building close relationships with customers, consumers and trade partners.”

In related news, BSH UK has recently made headlines for ending its long-standing relationship with buying group CIH, after negotiations reportedly broke down over new trading terms. With the partnership originally due to end on April 28, both companies have recently agreed to a two-month transition period, to minimise the impact on retailers.
