Nolte confirms expansion of franchise network

Following the launch of its franchise model last year, Nolte Küchen UK says it now has plans to open at least two more franchise stores in 2026, bringing its total number up to seven.

The kitchen company first announced its intention to create a franchise model in 2024, and said at the time that it was focused on finding partners specifically in Leicester, Newcastle and the North East, Leicestershire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, London and South Wales.

Last year, Nolte opened its first wave of franchise locations in Bath, Richmond and Henley-on-Thames. However, the company says the momentum from these openings is set to continue, with two more showrooms, in Hawkhurst and Wakefield, scheduled to open in the second half of 2026.

With a history dating back to 1958, the company is the UK distributor for German manufacturer Nolte Küchen, and is headquartered in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

Nolte says that each of its franchise showrooms is designed to showcase its latest product innovations, as well as meeting the consumer demand for high-quality sustainable German engineering.

Aside from just its relatively new franchise model, Nolte operates a “multi-channel approach”, also trading through independent retailers and company-owned showrooms, which it says increases brand visibility and accessibility for customers.

Nolte says it offers franchisees a “flexible model designed to suit different experience levels”, from experienced designers to multi-site business owners. The company promises this model is supported by a comprehensive support package, which covers things from territory mapping and site selection, recruitment, training and marketing materials.

“The momentum behind the Nolte franchise model in the UK is building rapidly,” commented Chris Rushby, Nolte Küchen UK MD. “We are seeing a high level of confidence from partners who recognise the value of a premium German product backed by a proven UK retail infrastructure. This growth is a testament to the resilience of the Nolte brand and the entrepreneurial spirit of our partners.

“Every opening in H1, and those in our immediate pipeline, represents a strategic step forward in our goal to fill key territories with high-quality showrooms. For us, it is not just about the numbers; it’s about building a network designed with long-term partner growth in mind, ensuring we partner with experienced local operators in the right locations to bring the Nolte experience to more UK homeowners.”

Looking ahead, Nolte says demand for future franchise locations will still remain concentrated around the South East and the commuter belt for the time being, but it is “actively exploring opportunities in new regional markets”.
