Roca Group has expanded its key account team by creating a new national account manager position for independent merchants and buying groups, with regional sales manager Dan Baldwin stepping into the role.
The news also comes as Roca Group is also planning a restructure of its sales regions across England and Wales. The sales territories will now be split into two distinct north and south regions, with the former western business development managers split between these new territories.
According to Roca, the remit change does not include Scotland and Ireland, which will continued to remain as separate managed territories.
Baldwin has been with the company for 14 years, and will work closely with Roca Group’s regional sales managers and business development managers to take advantage of growth opportunities in the independent merchant sector.
“The independent merchant sector is a vital part of our business, and this strategic move reflects our commitment to serving these valued customers with the focus and expertise they deserve,” explained Jon Fry, Roca’s sales director for national accounts.
“Dan’s appointment demonstrates our investment in building stronger relationships and delivering tailored support that will drive mutual success. This restructuring positions us to be more responsive and effective across all our regions.”
New national account manager Dan Baldwin added: “I’m thrilled to take on this role and work with such an exciting group of customers. Independent merchants are the backbone of our industry, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with our RSM and BDM teams to unlock the tremendous potential in this sector. With the right strategy and our collective expertise, I’m confident we can achieve outstanding results together.”
