Haier supplies appliances for new Canterbury development

Haier has partnered with housebuilder Fernham Homes to supply integrated kitchen appliances for a new residential development at Blean, near Canterbury.

The partnership will see Haier provide appliances for 59 private three and four-bedroom homes, with each property featuring a fully integrated kitchen fitted with the manufacturer’s products.

The specification includes ID Series 2 electric ovens with hydrolytic cleaning and air fryer functionality, ID Series 2 induction hobs, built-in refrigerators from the ID Titanium and 55 Series 6 ranges, Washlens Plus integrated dishwashers with 16-place settings, and I-Pro Series 3 washing machines.

Selected homes will also include combi microwaves, warming drawers and heat pump tumble dryers.

According to Haier, the partnership began after Fernham Homes attended a product demonstration at the manufacturer’s Design Activation Centre at the Business Design Centre in Islington. The facility showcases Haier’s cooking, refrigeration, laundry and small domestic appliance ranges.

A four-bedroom show home at the Blean development is now open to the public and includes a fully integrated Haier kitchen.

Jim McEwan, managing director UK & Ireland at Haier UK, said: “Partnering with Fernham Homes allows us to bring our vision of the modern connected kitchen directly into new homes, giving new home buyers immediate access to premium, high-performance appliances.

“Today’s homeowners are looking for spaces that are not only beautifully designed, but also practical and efficient from day one. This collaboration ensures that every home is ready to meet those expectations.”

Sean Ellis, managing director at Fernham Homes, added: “When selecting appliances for this development, it was important for us to find a partner that could deliver on quality, design and technology, while remaining accessible for buyers.

“Haier stood out for its combination of innovative features, contemporary styling and overall value, allowing us to create kitchens that feel premium, functional and ready for modern living.”

Haier said the agreement expands its presence in the UK new-build housing market by supplying integrated appliance packages for residential developments.
