Nottinghamshire-based bespoke kitchen company Hill Farm Furniture has lost its showroom and office following a major fire, but has reassured customers it intends to come back “stronger than ever”.
Announcing the unfortunate news in a statement online, Hill Farm confirmed it had lost its showroom, office, paint shop, assembly room and storage space as a result of the fire earlier this week. Fortunately, the business says that there were no injuries from the incident.
With a history stretching back more than 30 years, Hill Farm designs and manufactures bespoke kitchens, pantries, boot rooms, libraries and studies for clients, with its premises based in Dry Doddingham near Newark.
The online statement continued: “We are shell shocked and absolutely heartbroken at the loss of our beloved premises. To stand and watch years and years worth of hard work and dedication burn in front of us was indescribable. If you have been to the showroom you know just how much of a labour of love it was for us, and how homely and special a place it was.
“We are currently busy planning our next steps and putting wheels in motion for Hill Farm moving forward. To all of our existing customers, we can’t thank you enough for your support and understanding. To our future customers, we intend to come back from this stronger than ever.
“And lastly, a huge thank you to the many, many fire fighters who did all they could to tackle the blaze and stopped it spreading to adjacent buildings. Please bear with us as we navigate this difficult period.”
In July, Essex-based Horizon Kitchens also lost its workshop and showroom in a major explosion at Highlands Farm. The next month, emergency services declared a major incident after The Kitchen and Bathroom Store showroom in Luton also burst into flames, which also saw dozens of nearby homes evacuated.
