Following his recent departure from buying group KBBG, Owain Harrison has now been named as the new UK managing director of Italian appliance brand Falmec.
Officially stepping into the role on October 1, the company said that Harrison’s appointment marks a new chapter for the brand, with the new managing director bringing extensive UK and international kitchen industry experience to an already-established UK team with a loyal retail customer base.
Harrison helped launch Belgian appliance brand Novy in the UK back in 2017, originally working as country manager. He progressed to hold international responsibilities at Novy after its acquisition by Middleby Residential, before being appointed managing director of the KBBG in 2024, where he succeeded long-time boss Bill Miller.
Harrison departed the buying group in July, when it was announced he would be succeeded in the role by former KBSA head Richard Hibbert.
“I have always had a huge affection for the Italian appliance industry, so joining a family-owned Italian manufacturer with the design, quality and ambition of Falmec is particularly exciting for me,” said Harrison.
“The brand sits beautifully at the luxury end of the kitchen market. More importantly, it is committed to the kitchen specialist channel. We have a strong team, an established customer base and some genuinely exciting products ahead.
“My role is to ensure Falmec is brought to the attention of the KBB sector with fresh energy, with a real desire to grow the brand and to support our existing retail partners by giving them even more reasons to be excited about Falmec.”
