Entries are now open for the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2021 – the biggest and longest running awards in the kitchen and bathroom industry – and the effect of the 2020 lockdown has been made a defining criteria.
It is open to any retailers, designers, suppliers and – for the first time – installers in the UK and Ireland kitchen and bathroom sector. It is also, as always, completely free to enter
The closing date is February 18, 2021 and all the information can be found at the official awards website www.kbbreview.com/awards. The awards are sponsored by some of the biggest names in the industry including Neff, Roca, Vitra, Samsung, Hansgrohe, Impey, Hettich, Swift, and Used Kitchen Exchange.
Plans for the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards event have also been announced, find out more here.
In a kbbreview.com opinion piece, Taylist Media managing editor Andrew Davies said: “I’m so delighted to announce that the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards back and open for business. This is the 27th year of the awards but it is obviously being run in a year like no other we’ve experienced. What defines a top retailer has been completely turned on its head and it’s going to be absolutely fascinating to hear the stories of survival, adaptation, fortitude and stoicism that will come out of it.”

In the retail categories of the awards, judges will look specifically at how those businesses have managed and negotiated the turmoil of 2020 as well as the normal criteria.
The design categories will run as normal with awards for different projects at different project costs.
There are two new categories for 2021. For the first time, the vital contribution of installers will be recognised with the Installation Company of the Year award. This is being run in partnership with the British Institute of KBB Installation (BiKBBI).
And a one-off category – the Lockdown Support Special Award – is specifically open for suppliers and will reward how they have helped and supported their retailers through the crisis.
The full list of categories can be found below.
