Appliance giants named as top employers for 2025

The Top Employers Institute has released its annual list of the best employers to work for in the UK, with appliance giants Haier and BSH both making the cut.

Every year, the certification from the Top Employers Institute is awarded to companies following an HR Best Practices Survey, covering 20 topics across the business and employees lifecycle. These include people, strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, well-being and diversity, equity and inclusion. It evaluated employers across 125 countries and amongst 2025’s top employers are 108 organisations from the UK.

Appliance brand Haier UK & Ireland was one of the top employers for the year, an accolade it has now achieved for three years in a row. According to the company, it believes its recognition was down to its HR framework, which includes its people strategy, learning programmes, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) policies.

Diego Perrone, managing director of Haier UK & Ireland, said: “This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our team, showcasing how we prioritise the care, development, and wellbeing of our people.”

BSH – the parent company behind Gaggenau, Neff, Siemens and Bosch – was also recognised on this year’s list, with its 2025 inclusion marking an impressive 10 consecutive years being awarded the Top Employer status.

Reflecting on the impressive milestone, Gunjan Srivastava, CEO of BSH Home Appliances commented: “To be certified yet again by the Top Employers Institute highlights our commitment to employees’ welfare and development. To receive this recognition for the 10th year in a row is testament to the programmes we have in place to support our teams, from personal development, career succession and health and wellbeing.

“By consistently prioritising the well-being and growth of our workforce, we are setting a high standard for the industry and this certification solidifies our position as a leader in the market.”

Top Employers Institute CEO, David Plink, congratulated those who had appeared on this year’s list, and brought attention to the fact that this was a considerable achievement given the challenges businesses have faced in recent times.

He said: “Consistency in a not-so-consistent world? In a time of constant change—where technological, economic, and social shifts are ever-present—exceptional times bring out the best in people and organisations.

“This year’s Top Employers have showcased this strength, by demonstrating outstanding dedication to their employees. We are proud to celebrate these companies and their achievements in 2025.”
