The 1810 Company/Schock UK has appointed Bernhard van Ommen as its new managing director, who will succeed Dean Williams.
1810 says that van Ommen is well-positioned to drive the success of the business as a result of his 20 years of senior leadership experience across multiple premium and luxury brands.
He is also the former managing director of furniture brand Flokk UK, and under his tenure, he accelerated revenue growth and successfully integrated multiple brands under one unified commercial strategy.
As a result, The 1810 Company and SCHOCK says his expertise in scaling businesses and aligning teams will be instrumental in its future, as it looks to enter the next phase of its expansion.

Looking ahead, 1810 says it will focus on expanding its market presence, enhancing its brand awareness, and unifying operations to create an industry-leading product offering.
In addition, The 1810 Company/SCHOCK UK also sincerely thanked van Ommen’s predecessor, Dean Williams, for “his leadership and contributions over the past 14 months”. He took over from the previous managing director, Gareth Williams, in late 2023.
