The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) announced the first three businesses to be awarded its AiM accreditation, with a presentation ceremony held at Westminster’s Portcullis House.
At yesterday’s presentation ceremony, BiKBBI CEO Damian Walters and MP Calvin Bailey awarded commemorative certificates to Signature Projects, Christian Andrews Interiors and Wickes.
First announced in November 2024, The AiM (Accredited Installation Methods) scheme has been designed to elevate the standards of installation services across the KBB retail and construction sectors.
The objective is to create a recognised industry standard that reduces risk, demonstrates credibility, and provides quality assurance to all stakeholders involved in the KBB installation process – retailers, their people, installers and consumers.
BiKBBI says that all three businesses can now use the accreditation to demonstrate their high level of service and dependability, to offer reassurance and trust to customers.
Discussing the impact of the new AiM accreditation, Walters said: “It covers businesses of all sizes, from the small independent to the big nationals, and everything in between. As an institution, we have a responsibility to our industry, and you guys here today are making history by being part of the first ever government-sanctioned scheme of its kind.
“There’s not a great deal of opportunities to separate out company A versus company B in terms of the installation service they offer. So what we want is for AiM to become a force whereby businesses and consumers can look at this as a valuable mark of endorsement.”
