Uform announces TKC acquisition

Doors and accessories supplier Uform has acquired component brand TKC, forming what it claims is now “the largest specialist supplier to the kitchen market” in the UK.

Uform says the acquisiton represents a significant step for the brand, both expanding its reach and capability by creating new business opportunities in new channels. For example, Uform says TKC brings “complementary expertise” which should help it grow in both the market and trade channels, which the business identified as “a significant strategic step”.

Uform says that by combining its scale, manufacturing capability and customer focus with TKC’s strengths, it will be able to broaden its offering, enhance flexibility for customers, and unlock new routes to market.

Similarly, Uform says it is looking forward to welcoming TKC colleagues into the company to help support collective growth across the business.

As well as the acquisition, Uform has appointed a new CEO, David Adams, to lead both businesses. Uform says he brings significant senior leadership experience, as well as a strong track record of driving growth, operational performance, and customer service.

“I am excited to be joining Uform at such an important point in its development,” Adams said.“The combination of Uform and TKC creates a compelling platform for growth, and I look forward to working with the team to build on the strong foundations of both businesses and deliver for our customers.”

Uform group sales and marketing director, Wes Mckenna, also added: “After a long and considered search, we are pleased to complete the acquisition of TKC. This is an important step for the Group and significantly strengthens our kitchen and bedroom offering.  By bringing together the strengths of both businesses, we are well positioned to deliver even greater choice, competitive pricing and continued high levels of service to our customers.”

Similarly, TKC CEO Roy Saunders added: “The acquisition of TKC by Uform is exciting news. Uform is a respected brand in the KBB sector and undoubtedly our combined strength will provide strong growth and a compelling proposition for our customers, as well as long-term stability for our employees. This is a fantastic opportunity to create an exciting future, and we look forward to working with our Uform colleagues to achieve this.”
