Diego Perrone, the managing director of Haier Smart Home for the UK and Ireland, has been appointed as Electrolux Group’s new chief strategy officer.
Perrone will step into the role on July 8, when he will be responsible for the company’s business strategy, mergers and acquisitions. Based in Stockholm, Perrone will report to Group CEO Yannick Fierling, and be part of the Group’s management team.
His predecessor, Vincent Rotger, will now head up Electrolux’s Wellbeing & Small Domestic Appliances division.
Prior to Perrone’s time as Haier’s UK managing director, he was also in charge of the company’s cooling business unit for Europe, and also held several roles at Whirlpool before that.
“Joining Electrolux Group now is incredibly exciting,” Perrone commented. “I have strong conviction in the new strategic direction, and I look forward to actively driving it and being part of the transformation the Group is undergoing.”
Electrolux Group CEO Yannick Fierling added: “On behalf of everyone in Group Management, I want to wish Diego a warm welcome. He’s stepping in at the perfect time. Our new strategy is one I believe in strongly, and I also believe strongly in Diego to help us make it happen.”
