Franke UK is stepping up its focus on hob extractors with the second phase of its product programme, adding six models as it looks to increase its share of the UK market.
The company said its latest developments follow consumer research and discussions with retailers, with the aim of addressing demand across different price points and cooking requirements.
Craig McIntyre, managing director of Franke UK, said: “We are currently rolling out Wave 2 of our hob extractor programme and it reflects a strategic evolution for us in design, functionality and performance. Although we have been offering hob extractors for a few years, this segment is still very much in its infancy here in the UK and we have done a lot of consumer research and talking to retailers to make sure we answer what the market wants from these products.”
The six new models extend Franke’s existing Mythos 2gether, Maris 2gether and Smart 2gether collections, spanning premium, mid-range and value price points.
Franke said the programme builds on its original range while introducing changes to performance, usability and design.
Developments include a more compact, waterproof motor, updated touch and slider controls, and redesigned grease filters and grids intended to be easier to remove and clean. The odour filters are also accessible from the top of the appliances.
Franke has also introduced matt black glass across its Mythos and Maris ranges, alongside updated grids, cover systems and controls. The new models are designed and manufactured by Franke in collaboration with its air expertise brand, Faber.
McIntyre said: “We’ve developed an exciting new generation of hob extractors that will deliver exceptional performance across every model and detail.
“From refined aesthetics to advanced filtration systems, and optimised motor dimensions to enhanced overall performance, every element has been carefully engineered to elevate the user experience. Wave 2 is not just a continuation, it’s a transformation.”
