Funnily enough we have actually had the busiest year since opening our showroom in October 2007 and we’ve had a record sales year, too.

We also recently celebrated our 21st anniversary of trading, and our order book runs into March 2026 and feel confident orders will continue to come in, albeit at a steady rate. Challenges to the business don’t change, inflation pressures, Government decisions and Economy woes, however up in the North East the area is pretty steady in terms of employment, plus sales of houses is slow which helps our market as people are improving. There is still a real love of the home which has continued from Covid years.

I think strong established businesses with a reputation for quality and service will see a growth in their business, we have seen businesses in our sector close over the last 3/4 years however to me this was over spill from opportunists after covid. 

I see the market growing steady over the next couple of years with little desire from customers to move home, instead investing in what they already have.

Having navigated through financial crisis, Brexit, cost of living crisis and Pandemics we are still here to tell the tale, and we remain optimistic and positive that the business will grow in 2026 albeit at a steady pace.

We, like most KBB retailers, mange everything for our clients, however we cover kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, flooring and media walls, which allows us to bring in large projects where the customer just wants to deal with one team. We are still a relatively small team at just four members of staff – the rest are contractors however they have being with us well over 10 years.

But a major key factor for me is my relationship with my business partner who is the installer, I could not run the business so effectively and efficiently if I didn’t have him on site for on every job, and he carries out an exceptional standard of work.
