Bucks New Uni helps students design for real people

Students on the Kitchen Design Foundation Degree at Buckinghamshire New University will enjoy talks by two specialists in the field of ergonomics, design and the human body.

There are 10 free places also up for grabs to TKET sponsors on a first come, first served basis. Other members of the kitchen industry are also able to attend for a cost of £30 and subject to available places.

In the talk, The ergonomic basics of the human body, Roger Golten, a Hellerwork practitioner, will explain how the body works, and what it needs to keep it in alignment and structurally sound, working with rather than defying gravity.

Dr Patrik Kunzler, a medical doctor, engineer and inventor, and TED speaker, will speak on The science of designing for the human body and about his research into the Limbic chair and the application of neuroscience and engineering.

The lecturers will take place on Saturday February 11 at Missenden Abbey, starting at 11:30.
