Buster and Punch expands into kitchens

Lifestyle and home fittings company Buster and Punch has expanded into the kitchens market with its new modular freestanding kitchen.

The new offering, inspired by the professional chef’s freestanding kitchen, is curated from two frame options, three cabinet colourways, and three different worktops, all designed around the brand’s choice of hardware.

With a background in architecture, Massimo Buster Minale, founder and creative director at Buster and Punch said he is using this experience to ‘strip back the elements of the modular units.’ Minale founded Buster and Punch in 2013, starting off by making custom motorcycles, then moving into home fittings.

“We wanted to flip the conventions of kitchen design, using hardware and detailing as the launchpad for the entire process,” said Minale. “Developing it in this way is a logical progression for us and our customers. It’s resulted in a kitchen that’s adaptable, usable, and feels like it’s been machined from one solid piece of metal and stone.”

The Buster and Punch website offers an online configurator tool that allows customers and specifiers to select kitchen style options, hardware, and choose from the three units available. The brand’s new kitchen mixer tap, shelving, and lighting are also available to spec, as well as an optional white-glove installation service.

Talking about the online tool, Minale said: “From the moment you hit the configurator, to when it’s installed and when you’re in it, this kitchen feels beyond special. It evokes the same emotional feeling as when I would show a client their finished custom motorbike back in the day. It’s a design that’s linked to every part of our DNA, a complete kitchen look that’s got Buster and Punch’s character and style in every configuration.”
