Southampton-based retailer and kbbreview ‘adopted showroom’ Harris Bathrooms has introduced an e-commerce arm to its business.
Owner Ryan Harris (pictured) and his team worked with suppliers and software specialist EQ Software to sell its bathroom ranges online through its web store www.coastbathrooms.com.
The bathroom retailer was founded by Harris and his wife in autumn 2013 after applying for a start-up loan under the government-backed scheme fronted by entrepreneur James Caan from Dragons’ Den. It officially launched in January 2014.
Harris said: “I have worked with EQ Software over the years during various roles in the bathroom industry. I felt they would be our best, most reliable choice in providing our e-commerce solutions. Coast Bathrooms is our online bathroom website where our customers can take advantage of buying affordable quality bathroom products, from leading brands, delivered direct to their door.”
He previously spent 15 years in the bathroom industry, working for both national and local companies.
Since its founding, the business has surpassed its initial six-figure sales projection and it said the online shop has now provided a further route to market.
The retailer sells a selection of bathrooms, bathroom accessories, basin taps, heated towel rails and shower products, including designs from Hansgrohe, HiB, SBH, Hudson Reed, Roper Rhodes and Flova.
