Devon and Devon acquires London showroom

The Devon and Devon store in the heart of Notting Hill has been acquired by the Italian brand, which will operate it directly in future.

Graziano Verdi, chief executive of Italian brand Devon and Devon, which is based in Florence and celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, said he was pleased to consolidate its presence in London. The store was previously operated by a local partner.

Verdi said: “We have always had a special relationship with England, to which we owe our name, the neo-Victorian design of our best-sellers and the high-quality of our pieces of china, produced from the very beginning in small British manufacturing districts.”

Devon and Devon general manager Nicola Bertini said that as a celebration of the acquisition, the Westbourne Grove showroom will be refurbished.

He added: “Devon and Devon considers each of its stores all over the world as ambassadors of its philosophy of living, of the Italian quest for perfection and of its distinctive style, characterised by timeless products that reinterpret the best of European tradition and 20th century design with an attentive focus on the present.”

As well as the complete and coordinated look for the bathroom, the 200sq m London showroom will offer solutions for the interior design of the whole home, including marble, ceramic and wooden floorings and wall coverings, wallpapers and furniture, mirrors, lamps and accessories.

In the store, private customers, interior designers, architects and contractors will also discover ‘Tailored Interiors’ – an exclusive tailor-made design service.
