Grohe has announced a new leader of LIXIL Europe, with Thomas Schachner stepping in to fill the role from April 1.
According to Grohe, Schachner has more than 15 years of experience with the company, and has previously held several senior positions. These include leadership of the business in Eastern Europe, and being leader of supply chain management for the EMENA region.
Grohe believes his deep knowledge of the company’s operations and strong network will help guide it to further success in the European market.
His appointment means that Bijoy Mohan, who has held an interim leadership role in the region since August 2023, will now return his full focus to serving as the company’s leader of LIXIL International. Mohan stepped in to take charge of the European region following the departure of former continental leader, Jonas Brennwald.
Under Mohan’s guidance, Grohe says the European region has seen a restructuring and return to growth, which the company attributes to “a refined approach to individual target groups and a differentiated offering with the Grohe brand”.
Commenting on his new position, Schachner said: “I am honoured to take on this responsibility. Alongside our excellent teams, I am confident we will continue to grow our business with the GROHE brand and deliver exceptional value with our product offering to our business partners.”
