Haier names new chief business officer for Europe

Francesco Di Valentin, Haier’s new CBO

Appliance brand Haier has announced a new appointment to its senior leadership team, naming Francesco Di Valentin as its new chief business officer.

According to Haier, Di Valentin will now be responsible for leading the European markets and collaborating extensively with the company’s recently appointed CEO, Neil Tunstall, as well as the rest of its senior leadership team.

In addition to driving revenue for the company, a key responsibility of his role will be to create a “supplier of choice” culture for European trade customers, using the company’s products and brand leadership as a foundation.

Haier says that Di Valentin has more than quarter of a century of international sales and marketing experience. He first joined the company in 2019 in the role of overseas marketing director, before progressing on to becoming managing director of fast-growing markets in 2021.

In stepping into the role, he replaces Jean Pascal Rey, Haier’s current chief commercial officer, who plans to leave the business on April 30.

Di Valentin said he was “delighted” with his new appointment. He continued: “It is a very strategic one as the company is committed to pursuing its ambition to be the undisputed leader in the major appliances industry and the first consumer choice for smart home solutions.

“I will be very focused on working with the markets, the Product Lines and all the supporting functions to achieve and cultivate zero distance, delighting our current and future customers and consumers.”
