Imperial Bathrooms founder dies

Geoffrey Stevenson, the founder of British bathroom specialist Imperial Bathrooms, has passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Geoffrey Stevenson (pictured left) died on October 1. He founded the West Midlands-based company in 1987 and remained involved in running the business until February this year.

In a statement announcing his passing, Imperial Bathrooms said: “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our founder Geoffrey Stevenson. He was passionate about his work and was always a man driven to succeed and deliver the very best products. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.”

In August, the company announced that Lousada Plc – run by Simon Lousada – had become the new owner of the company and that Geoffrey’s son James Stevenson (pictured right) had been appointed as joint managing director – alongside John Kitchiner.
